Whether you need to insure your primary residence or vacation home, colonial or duplex, townhouse or cottage, you can rely on Snyder Insurance Agency's 40 years of experience to get the correct coverage for your home and at a competitive price.
As an independent agency, we can quote your homeowner's policy with several companies. Different companies are known for specializing in specific risks as well as tailored endorsements so not only can we select a company for your needs but also can "shop" for the best rates.
For a list of companies we are appointed with, click here. In addition to those, we can also access the brokered market depending on your particular risk and needs.
We will try to keep your homeowner's policy with the same company as your auto insurance, however sometimes it is beneficial to get a "stand-alone" policy with a different carrier. Companies such as Lititz Mutual, Livingston Mutual, and Nazareth Mutual strictly write habitational risks and are more likely to offer a competitive rate on a single homeowners/rental property policy.
Home insurance coverage is different for everyone due to diverse builds, construction and materials used. Our agents will review components of your home and most times, provide replacement cost coverage so that you can repair or replace your home if something were to happen to it. Each policy will cover the structure, personal property, other structures on the property, loss of use coverage, personal liability and medical payments. This is all determined from the specific discussion we have with you.
In addition to coverages customary to homeowner's insurance, it is important to talk to your agent about supplementary endorsements for specific concerns, such as Sinkhole Coverage, Water/Sewer Backup, Scheduled Personal Property, Utility Line Coverage and Equipment Breakdown. We always have a discussion with you regarding the particulars about your home so don't hesitate to ask questions and provide all distinct features (outside & inside) to make certain they are included and therefore ensuring adequate coverage. Coverage endorsements may need to be added to the policy depending on what's important to you.
Below are some endorsements to consider adding to your policy; this list is not all-inclusive.

- Additional Replacement Cost Coverage for dwelling and contents
- Increased Other Structures Coverage
- Water/Sewer Backup Coverage
